on a lazy Saturday spent with no makeup, I thought i would post a list of the cosmetics products I use. i'm not one to wear a lot of makeup, even though my list seems to have quite a few products on it, I stick to the basics. a light and wonderfully aromatic concealer to hide the dark circles i inherited from my dads lovely Indian family, a very simple water based non-perfumed facial lotion to keep my face hydrated and protected from UV rays, a light cheek tint and of course a product i would never go without, liquid eyeliner. the result is not an artificial looking caked on face, it's just an evened out skin tone and slightly rosy cheeks (on some days).

i have a few personal rules about makeup:

1.i avoid, at all costs the ever present makeup line that many girls have because they tend to forget to blend around the face and neck area
2.i never wear eyeshadow, i believe it looks quite tacky on me
3.i never choose cosmetics with glitter, shine or sparkle
4.i think makeup is personal and differs from person to person
5.i don't ever buy into brand name products, since having learned in my fiber polymer science that most products, in fact almost all are composed of the exact same ingredients and the difference in cost comes from brand name and packaging. taking that into account, i've managed to find the best 'team' for my face
