thrifted ankle boots, brand new white laces
I was reading on the tube this past week when I noticed something about myself- something i do without consciously thinking about it. my first impression of people always has a lot to do what kind of shoes they are wearing- not what brand- just what sort of style they project with the shoes they decide to wear and HOW they wear them. well, one of my favorite things to do in the morning is to people/style watch on the tube on my way to work. this morning in particular, since i was looking down at my book, every time someone got on the train, i didn't bother to look up unless i saw a nice pair of shoes first. i guess it's a different filtering system while style gazing but i wonder how well it works, I know i've met people and seen people who had not the greatest pair of shoes on but still had great style elsewhere- but it doesn't happen often. The shoe tells a lot.
speaking of shoes, these ones in the photo are my FAVORITE FAVORITE pair of boots hands down. they only cost $5 but they are so beat up, I've been over-wearing them and I've heard rumors that there's a shoes repair shop in Stockholm that will duplicate shoes... i might have to hunt that place down and get these ones remade.
